When the architect designs his dream cabin

They are designed from Härjedalens climate and design tradition. The Mountain cabin is from the outside a reduced and barren architecture, historically rooted in Härjedalens design tradition. Building materials and installations are of very high quality and are chosen with great care to achieve long life, low energy and the right "feeling". The inside is lined with pine plywood and slate, which gives a strong materiality and contrast to the white winter landscape.

Six Skarven Cabins are produced in Härjedalen. Two more cabins are produced during 2012.
They are built with prefabricated elements from Norrlands Trähus in Hammerdal. Internal fittings such as kitchens, bathrooms, sauna, by Fjällmark Bygg in Hede.
